Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving here on Friday with my parents, Gammie, Brian & Erin. My mom did the majority of the cooking with help from Dave and Brian. We had a wonderful time together. On Sunday, we had Thanksgiving dinner with Dave's family.

After baths, we had dessert. Someone (I won't name names) had the bright idea to squirt whip cream into his mouth. The kids caught on quick and wanted to do the same thing. It was quite amusing to them.

Our group squeezed around the table in our small dining room. I'm not sure how long we'll all fit at this table but it worked this year. From Charlotte around the table clockwise: Charlotte, Erin, Memme, Gammie, Dad, Brian, Dave, and AJ. I'm taking the picture, of course.

Dave carving our delicious bird. It was one of the best turkeys we've ever had. I think it was a result of brining and injecting. Way to go, Dave!

Brian and Mom

Poppy took charge of dish washing and did it with a smile!

Charlotte and AJ were in charge of deviled eggs. They were so proud of them.

The lovely couple, Brian and Erin. We were happy Erin could join us this year. She celebrated with her family on Thursday and graciously ate turkey two days in a row.

Gammie meeting her third great-grandchild for the first time!

We were so happy Gammie could make the trip up to be with us and meet Zachary. She was thrilled to get lots of newborn snuggles.

Zachary was 3 weeks old at Thanksgiving.

Memme checking out how Zachary had changed in the two weeks since she has seen him.

Story time with Poppy (reading a princess book, no less!) and Charlotte holding Zachary.
