Here's proof that I'm actually working on Charlotte's first year album and making progress. I'm over half way done so I should be back to blogging soon!

Sorry for the lack of posting lately. I've taken a little sabbatical from blogging to get Charlotte's baby album done before this next baby is born!

Burke Lake Park

We had so much fun at the park this afternoon with our friends. There was a playground, ice cream shop, carousel, and train ride all under the shade. What more could you ask for?

A special treat of ice cream with mommy. I didn't get to eat much of it because my little piglet kept asking for more. Later, she asked me for a turkey sandwich. I think C thinks I'm her walking kitchen. I need a Mary Poppins diaper bag!

Lake Anna

We're back from a week at Lake Anna and we all had a great time!

Charlotte spent hours in this pool that Papa brought.

Summer Vacation #2

We're off to Lake Anna this afternoon for a fun-filled week with Dave's family. I probably won't post much (if anything) while we're gone. I promise to have lots of great pictures when we return. Have a great week, everyone!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Charlotte!

We celebrated Charlotte's big second birthday family style this weekend. I made her a whole wheat carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. She was so excited to eat it especially since she got to watch the process.

Memme came to visit for the weekend. Sadly, Poppy had to fly a trip and Uncle Brian was coaching soccer camp.

Here is Bryn's big debut on the blog. She is 2.5 months old. We took some pictures of the girls in their cute red and white dresses. Charlotte was so sweet to Bryn.

Charlotte listening to everyone sing Happy Birthday. She belts it out as "Hakky Birky". It's too cute! We had been practicing all week.

Finally, she gets to "blow up the candles" as she says. She got a little help from her cousin, Kellen.


She gobbled up all her cake in silence. She loved every bite! Much different from last year. She's got a big appetite these days. The other night for dinner I had to make her TWO eggs with cheese as a second course after she ate her whole plate of food.

Opening presents is always fun!

A new bike helmet!

She wore the bike helmet for the rest of present opening. She couldn't open anything without holding her baby too! She's such a good little mommy to her baby.

A new easel from Kellen and Bryn. Aunt Missy got her a bunch of art supplies to go with it.

...and finally a NEW bike to go with her helmet from Memme and Poppy. This is called a Strider Bike and you just run or walk with it. Check out their website for some cool videos.
