I wasn't really sure how we were going to handle the reception with Charlotte's sleep schedule (or lack thereof). She took two small catnaps during the day so by 6pm she was exhausted but fighting sleep. We tried bundling her up in the stroller (it was quite chilly in SD and it was a mostly outdoor reception) and walking her around in a quiet place for her to fall asleep but no luck. So I decided to put her in the Ergo and she immediately passed out. She remained asleep in the Ergo for the next three hours! It was great. Dave fed me dinner and we continued to party as normal. My back and feet thanked me later.

Just as the band got warmed up and the dance floor was hopping, Charlotte woke up. She was very confused and pensive. She wasn't unhappy, but just had this curious look on her face as everyone came up to talk to her. I think she liked all the action and dancing with Mommy. Still she knew this definitely wasn't normal nighttime activity in her world.

This is Kyle who turned 5 yesterday. He is Scott's nephew and Charlotte's future husband. He was hit of the party and quite the talker. Quote of the weekend from Kyle: "Dess what?"
