I waited as long as possible to switch Charlotte from rear facing to forward facing in her car seat. I was hoping to make it to 18 months, but getting her in and out was just getting so difficult. Plus, it's easier to pass her things this way rather than reaching over. She's over 20lbs now so I feel a little better about turning her around. They recommend waiting until your child is one year old AND at least 20lbs. She seemed to like her new view. She's waving because I told her we were going "bye-bye."
