We had a great Independence Day weekend. It was kicked off by hosting our 2nd annual neighborhood cookout in front of our house. Charlotte spent most of the time eating and taking in the scene.

We had quite a crowd. I would estimate about 40 people and much bigger than last year. We went through over 30 burgers, 25 hotdogs, and a bunch of veggie burgers. For the second year in a row, it rained about 2 hours into the cookout. This year we just covered the food table with plastic, ran for the indoors, and came back out to eat dessert after the rain was over.

Charlotte and our neighbor's granddaugther, Amelia, who was visiting from S.C.

Even though it's not raining at the moment, Charlotte wanted to be prepared.

We also celebrated Uncle Brian's 26th birthday this weekend. Charlotte got to help him open his presents.
