We went to Harrisonburg back in April for a day. Pam planned a big surprise birthday party for Kenny's big 4-0! He was definitely surprised and we all had a blast. They have a great backyard for kids and entertaining. The kids spent most of their time on the trampoline.
We drove home pretty late after a busy day. We were hoping both kids would sleep for the two hour drive. We actually turned Charlotte's carseat around since she's still under the 33lb rear facing weight limit. She was more comfortable reclined and went to sleep immediately. I thought it was funny to see both kids rear facing. They actually recommend that you keep kids rear facing in carseats until age 4! I don't think we'll make it that long with AJ but my goal is 2 years or whenever he hits 33lbs in weight. Both kids transferred to their beds with no problem so there might be more night driving in our future. We'll try it again on our way home from the Outer Banks in a couple weeks.
