If you live locally and have never been to River Farm off the GW parkway, you must go. I never even knew it existed until my friend, Megan, suggested it for a playdate. It's the headquarters for the American Horticultural Society (http://www.ahs.org/river_farm/index.htm) on 25 acres of landscaped lawns and gardens. In this picture, you can see the Potamac River.
Charlotte taking in the view with the mansion in the background. This place is rich with history and was at one time owned by George Washington, although he never lived here.
There is a fantastic children's garden complete with a play house.

We had a picnic lunch in the little gazebo. From left to right, Megan (Jack's mom), Audrey (2), Asher (6 mo) in his mom's lap (Maggie).

Charlotte and Audrey were "debating" over whose turn it was to hold the baby. Jack stepped in to mediate!
We're in this beautiful garden on a beautiful day and all Charlotte want to do is change her baby's diaper! Such is life for a toddler, I suppose.
